Over more than 50 years in the market, Audipec has developed specific experience in segments that require dedicated regulatory and accounting knowledge. Below is a brief description of each area. When a segment has its own page, the "See full page" link leads to the detail.

Financial Institutions / BACEN-Regulated

Audit of the financial statements of banks, credit unions, credit and investment companies, payment institutions, consortium administrators and other entities authorized to operate by the Central Bank of Brazil.

The engagement covers compliance with CMN and BCB rules, the audit of internal controls and the risk management structure, anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism-financing procedures (AML/CFT), assessment of the loan portfolio and provisions, and compliance with operating limits and disclosure requirements.

Investment Funds

Audit of the financial statements of investment funds — FIDC, FIP, FIA, FIM, real estate funds and other structures — in compliance with CVM rules and ANBIMA self-regulation codes.

Procedures include the review of mark-to-market of assets, portfolio compliance with regulatory and bylaw limits, verification of unit pricing and of management and performance fees, and analysis of the net asset account and unitholder movements.

Corporations (S/A)

Audit of publicly and privately held corporations under Law No. 6,404/76, CVM rules and CPC pronouncements.

We support boards of directors, audit committees, management and shareholders — including minority shareholders — with the audit of financial statements, review of quarterly information, examination of related-party transactions and assessment of significant accounting estimates.

Real Estate Developers

Audit of real estate developers and construction companies, a segment Audipec has served since its foundation.

The work covers revenue and cost recognition by percentage of completion, the reasonableness of the budget and costs to incur, control of affected assets (patrimônio de afetação), the treatment of physical and financial swaps and contract cancellations, and the sector's specific accounting requirements.

Condominiums

Examination of condominium accounts to support the presentation and approval of accounts at the assembly, focused on revenue, arrears, the reserve fund, staff payroll and supplier expenses.

The report objectively sets out the points of attention identified and practical internal-control recommendations for the manager and the board.

Third Sector

Audit of associations, foundations, civil society organizations (CSOs) and other nonprofit entities.

We pay particular attention to accountability to funders, public grants and partnership agreements and grantor bodies, to evidence of the application of funds to projects, to the requirements for maintaining tax immunity and exemptions, and to the sector's specific accounting standard (ITG 2002).
